Mrs. Wanda Mae (Harden) Chambers, 82, a former resident of Georgetown, Pa., and more recently of 94 Hoff St. in Belington, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, in Hospice Inpatient Care Center at Elkins, following a period of declining health.
She was born May 8, 1931, at Prosperity, Pa., a daughter of the late John Lindsey and Sadie (Curry) Harden.
On Sept. 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to Clarence Richard “Dick” Chambers, who preceded her in death April 1, 1996.
She is survived by three children, Normalee Moore and husband, John, of Hookstown, Pa., Pastor Richard Chambers and wife, Harriett, of Belington and Thomas Chambers and wife, Sandy, of Rogers, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by several siblings, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Chambers attended the schools of Allegheny County, Pa.; she was a homemaker, a bookkeeper for several business entities and retired from Kmart as a store manager. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Hookstown, Pa., and the Senior Center of Shippingport, Pa. She was a devout Christian and a member of Coraopolis United Methodist Church in Coraopolis, Pa.
Friends will be received from Victory Life Church, 590 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA 15021 Monday, Dec. 2, from 11 a.m. to noon. Interment will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery in Georgetown, Pa.
