Zelma Lemoyne Tallman, 88, of Buckhannon, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
She was born May 11, 1925, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late McKinley and Trecie Tenney Mills.
On Nov. 7, 1942, she married Bill M. Tallman, who preceded her in death on April 13, 1986.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Tallman; and three brothers, Howard, Robert and Richard Mills.
She is survived by four sons, the Rev. William Douglas Tallman and wife, Jackie, of Dayton, Ohio, Ronald Tallman and wife, Sue, of Elyria, Ohio, Donald Tallman and wife, Cathy, of LaGrange, Ohio, and Pastor Michael Tallman and wife, Donna, of Buckhannon; three daughters, Barbara Johnson and husband, Roy, of Metairie, La., Carolyn Cunningham and husband, Phares, of Medina, Ohio, and Bonnie Josefick and husband, Josh, of Elyria, Ohio; and 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tallman was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church of Buckhannon and the last member of her immediate family.
Friends will be received Thursday, Nov. 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Tallman and the Rev. William Douglas Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Union Church Cemetery at Tallmansville.
