Margaret Loughry

Mrs. Margaret Lois “Margie” Loughry, 65. a resident of Terra Alta, and formerly of Belington, departed this life late Monday evening, Dec. 16, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, following a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 2, 1948, at Terra Alta, a daughter of the late Carlus Hamen and Edith R. Hoff Reckart.

On Nov. 23, 1973, she was united in marriage to Gail Webster Loughry, who preceded her death Aug. 19, 2012.

She is survived by her stepfather, David Weber of Clarksburg; one son Michael Loughry of Florida; and two daughters, Jodi Veramesa and husband, Joey, of Abilene, Texas, and Shelby Thompson and husband, Brian, of Belington. Also surviving are two brothers, Jimmy Reckart of Terra Alta and Larry Reckart and wife, Patty, Oakland; three sisters, Nancy Glotfelty of Terra Alta, Patty Wildasin of Terra Alta and Rosemary Edelen and husband, Gary, of Bellview, Colo., and two special nieces, Elizabeth Ann Daniels and Debbie Lynn Raynovich. Additional survivors include three grandchildren, Todd Rhoades of Fairmont, Jacob Mayle and Josh Mayle of Belington.

Mrs. Loughry attended the schools of Preston County, was formerly employed with Sheetz in Belington and was presently working at Par-Matt Lanes Bowling Alley in Oakland Md. She was an avid bowler, was a member of the USPC Bowling Association and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 67 of Oakland, Md. She was Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received from Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. At the request of the deceased, her remains will be cremated.

Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Margaret Lois “Margie” Loughry.
