Carney “Studbolt” Mayle, 67, a resident of Philippi, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Barbour County, a son of the late Floyd and Wyonia (Newman) Mayle.
He was united in marriage to Eileen (Mayle) Mayle, who survives at home.
Also surviving five children, Darlene Newman of Philippi, Kirk Newman and wife, Cathleen, of Philippi, Mary Miller and husband, Phillip, of Philippi, LeRoy Newman of Lost Creek and Frankie Newman and wife, Ursula, of Philippi; one sister, Irene Mayle of Philippi; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mayle was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
He worked as a truck driver for Bensons Trucking. Mr. Mayle enjoyed watching TV and playing with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the best dad in the world and will be missed by all.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St. in Philippi today from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the service hour with the Rev. Jay Mayle officiating.
