Leonard O’dell Reid, 78, of Buckhannon, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 13, 1935, in Upshur County, a son of the late Christie and Alberta Cochran Reid.
On March 17, 1980, he married Ella Marie Smith, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Chris Loudin and wife, Jennifer, of Beans Mill; two daughters, Kari Gibson and husband, Ron, and Lynn Simmons and husband, Scott, all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Logan Loudin of Beans Mill; seven granddaughters, Crissy Loudin and fiance, Dustin Claypool, of Hodgesville, Holly and Emily Loudin, both of Beans Mill, Kaitlyn and Kailey Gibson, Jordyn and Adison Simmons, all of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Corbin Claypool of Hodgesville; and one brother, Bobbie Reid of Cambridge, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Reid was a truck driver and a member of the Living Word Church of God.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Living Word Church of God with Pastor Frank Spears officiating. Upshur County Honor Guard will provide military honors at the church.
