Margaret Catherine Losh, 73, of Weston passed away at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, in Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Jane Lew, following an extended illness.
She was born in Lewis County, Aug. 25, 1940, a daughter of the late James Benton Norman and Rena Macel Riffle Norman.
She is survived by one son, Eugene Jones and companion, Cindy, of Jane Lew; one granddaughter, Tammy Jones and fiance, Randy Riffle, of Weston; and one great-granddaughter, Molly Jones of Weston.
Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Pritchett; one brother, Emory Norman; and one daughter-in-law, Shirley Mae Jones.
Margaret was employed by Weston State Hospital for more than 20 years as a health service worker. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, fishing, gardening, canning, camping and collecting various memorabilia. She loved listening to country, bluegrass and gospel music and had a special place in her heart for Elvis Presley and Laverne Tripp. Her favorite sweet indulgences were vanilla ice cream and Smartie’s candy. She was a faithful member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Buckhannon.
Margaret’s request for cremation has been honored, and the family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Interment will be in McCutcheon Chapel Cemetery in Ireland.
