Margaret W. Zickefoose, 71, of Hackers Creek, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at her home while under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.
She was born Sept. 11, 1942, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Winston Bud and Margaret Wilma Shreve Dean.
On April 17, 1960, she married Raymond Leon Zickefoose, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, David Zickefoose, Brian Zickefoose and wife, Debbie, and Kevin Zickefoose, all of Hackers Creek, Troy Zickefoose and wife, Kathy, of Century and Gale Zickefoose and wife, Melissa, of Lost Creek; four daughters, Lynn Warner and husband, Joe, of Turkey Run, Becky Marsh and husband, Donnie, of Buckhannon, Helia Lipps of Jane Lew and Lori Marra and husband, Mike, of Hepzibah; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene Dean and wife, Diane, of Shinnston, Rick Dean and wife, Rita, of Bridgeport and Brent Dean and wife, Gwen, of Virginia; and five sisters, Wilma Heatherly and husband, Larry, Sharon Phillips, Rose Smith and husband, Buck, Helen Everson and husband, John, and Arlene Allen and husband, Jeff, all of Buckhannon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James H. Lipps; and four brothers, Danny, Ronnie, Jack and Ray Dean.
Margaret was a door greeter at Walmart and a Methodist by faith. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose 319. Margaret loved going to auctions, dancing, and most of all spending time with her friends and family.
Friends will be received Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Bonnie Starkey officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville.
