Victoria Kemrite

Mrs. Victoria T. Kemrite, 98, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 1, 2014, in Nella’s Nursing Home.

Friends may call from 10 until 11 a.m. today at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today from the church. The Rev. Kevin Starcher will officiate, and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Elkins.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 302 First St., Elkins, WV 26241, in memory of Mrs. Kemrite. Mrs. Victoria T. Kemrite, 98, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 1, 2014, in Nella’s Nursing Home.

She was born July 18, 1915, at Narticoke, Pa., a daughter of the late Adam and Mary Kolodziejczak Samborski.

She was married to Fredrick Edward Kemrite, who preceded her in death Oct. 23, 1965.

She is survived by one son, Ron Kemrite and wife, Connie, of Elkins, two daughters, Delores Corrick and husband Robert “Dink” Corrick of Elkins and Beverly Kesler and husband, Carl, of Troutville, Va.; and one son-in-law, Bill Adamson of Wexford, Pa. Also surviving are six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Jean Adamson, one grandson, Billy Adamson; two brothers, Leo and Stanley Samborski; and three sisters, Irene Rominski, Eleanor Bowers and Isabelle Bruni.

Victoria was a homemaker and a member of Randolph Chapter No. 74, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a very active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and had been a member of a bowling league.

Friends may call from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from the church. Interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Elkins.
