Frank Tabor

Frank Wayne Tabor, 62, of the Elmore School Road (Greasy Ridge), Princeton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Princeton Community Hospital.

Born April 28, 1951, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late James Buford Tabor and Lucille Francis Crawford Tabor.

Frank was a graduate of Princeton High School, class of 1969. He was a member of Plumber’s Pipefitters Union, Local 625, of Charleston, working 33 years and a member in good standing for 45 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, farmer and gardener.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Glenn Tabor.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and lifetime partner, Susan Combs Tabor; three sons, Joshua Tabor of Lexington, S.C., Jason Tabor of Princeton and Judd Tabor of Elizabethtown, Ky.; his granddaughter, who held the key to his heart, Karly Tabor of Elizabethtown, Ky.; sisters, Joyce Pritt of Beverly, Connie Bishop and husband, Otis, of Bluefield and Nancy Powell of Princeton; and brother, James Tabor and wife, Margaret, of Princeton.

Services to celebrate the life of Frank Tabor were conducted Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor’s Norman Arrington and Emory Marchant officiating. Friends visited with the family Tuesday at the funeral home.

Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend were requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
