Mrs. Helen F. Arbogast Kittle Robertson, 93, a resident of the Mansfield Place in Philippi, and formerly of Junior, departed this life early Wednesday morning, March 5, 2014, in the nursing facility. She had been in declining health for the past few years.
She was born Oct. 27, 1920, at Junior, a daughter of the late Leslie Herman and Mary Estaline Valentine Arbogast.
In 1939, she was united in marriage to Robert Neil Kittle, who preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1976.
She is survived by one son, Michael Kittle and wife, Maureen, of Harding; two brothers, Jack Arbogast and wife, Doris, of Roanoke, Va., and Don Arbogast and wife, Mary, of Dayton, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Joe Mae Arbogast of Michigan, and Martha Arbogast of Belington; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard Neil Kittle; three brothers, Charles, Robert and David Arbogast; and one sister, Lois Farris.
Mrs. Robertson was a homemaker and a member of Valley Green United Methodist Church in Akron, Ohio. She attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of Belington High School.
There will be a graveside service in Kaufman Cemetery at Harding at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow.
