Martha Scott

Martha Louise McCauley Scott, 76, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, in Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center at Elkins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in Mill Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Long will officiate, and interment will follow.

Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Martha Louise McCauley Scott. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions may be made to Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center, 169 Diamond St., Elkins, 26241. Martha Louise McCauley Scott, 76 years, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center at Elkins.

She was born Feb. 15, 1938, at Huttonsville, a daughter of the late Perry W. McCauley and Josephine K. Taylor McCauley.

On Feb. 11, 1963, at Oakland, Md., she was married to Raymond Monroe Scott, who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2013.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn D. Mathes and Connie L. Gibson, both of Mill Creek.

Also surviving are two brothers, Frank and Freddy McCauley, both of Elkins; one sister, Betty McCauley, of Valley Head; and five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also

survive.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Raymond, Houston and Jim McCauley; and two sisters, Delphia Kisamore and Carrie Lambert.

Mrs. Scott was employed as a cook at Nella’s Nursing home for many years prior to her retirement. She loved going to yard sales and spending time with her great grandchildren. She attended the Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church.
