Priscilla Cooper

Priscilla Mae (Smith) Cooper, 78, died Friday, March, 14, 2014, in Manor Care Nursing Home in Boulder, Colo.

She was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Whitmer, the oldest child of the late Raymond and Ethel Virginia (Mullenax) Smith.

She is survived by two sisters, Eunice Blizzard of Harrisonburg, Va., and Reeta Clous of Finleyville, Pa.

On Oct. 3, 1955, she married David H. Cooper, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1991.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Shelton Smith; and a son, David H. Cooper Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Cooper and Gary Cooper of Boulder, Colo.; two daughters, Janice Cooper of Denver, Colo., and Diane Cooper of Las Vegas, Nev.; and 10 grandchildren, Brittany Fitzgerald, Olivia Cooper and Christian Cooper of Boulder, Colo., Alicia Cooper and David Cooper of Platteville, Colo., Jesse Cooper of Grand Junction, Colo., Christopher Lutz of Denver, Colo., Melissa Cooper, Mark Cooper and Matthew Cooper of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Priscilla was a dedicated homemaker, loving mother and attentive grandmother. She was devoted to raising her five children. She loved her 10 grandchildren, laughed with them and enjoyed following their accomplishments. She enjoyed her travels to Hawaii, Paris and London. She is happily reunited with her husband and son.

Family has planned a private graveside service Sunday, April 13, with burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Whitmer.
