Kenneth J. Waybright, 74, a resident of Beverly, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, April 12, 2014.
He was born Aug. 28, 1939, at Parsons, a son of the late Clifton Mason and Mary Elizabeth Bennett Waybright.
On Feb. 24, 1959, at Elkins, he was married to Georgie Weese Waybright, who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Tim Waybright and wife, Mimi, of Frederick, Md.; one daughter, Becky Lewis and husband, Bob, of Beverly; and a grandson, Matthew Lewis of Beverly; three sisters, Kathryn Fleming of Illinois, Betty Ash of Florida and Bunnie Knight of Maryland, also survive.
Also preceding him in death were three sisters, Ann George, June Thomas and Peggy Shaw; and three brothers, Harold, Lem and Gerald Waybright.
Kenneth worked for the Randolph County Board of Education in maintenance, having worked at the Beverly School and retiring from Homestead School. He loved spending time at their cabin with his wife, Georgie, and fishing at his favorite spot at Little River. He was a member of the Isaak Walton League.
Kenneth’s request for cremation will be honored.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
