Mrs. Beulah M. “Bob” Bartlett, 88, a resident of Montrose, passed away Sunday morning, May 25, 2014, at her home. She was born July 31, 1925, at Pickens, a daughter of the late Ernest Daniel Isch and the late Ella House Isch.
On June 14, 1947, at Montrose, she was married to John Bartlett who survives at Montrose. Also surviving are her children, Rex Bartlett and wife, Cheryl, Jane Lew; Edward Bartlett of Hurricane; Sharon Bedford and husband, Charles, of Montrose; Alvin Bartlett and wife, Ann, of Montrose; James Bartlett and wife, Sherry, of Montrose; Betsy Arbogast and husband, James, of Durbin; Charlotte Parsons and husband, Mark, of St. George; and Barbara Miller and husband, Howard “Chip” Miller, of Montrose; two brothers, John Isch, Toledo, Ohio; and Paul Isch of Elkins; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
Also preceding her in death was one son, Mark David Bartlett; two brothers, Ernest Isch and Rudolph Isch; and five sisters, Jessie Ferguson, June McCourt, Helen Murphy, Eula Myers and Dorthea Lewis.
“Bob” attended the schools of Randolph County, was employed by the Randolph County Schools as a teacher and was employed as assistant postmaster at the Montrose Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Mercy Chapel United Methodist Church at Montrose, the United Methodist Women, Pleasant Grove Rebekah Lodge No. 98 and the Randolph County Homemakers and CEOS. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, from the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in the Montrose Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Chapel United Methodist Church, P.O.
