Mrs. Donna Lou Everson, 66, a resident of 1259 E. Bend Mt. Liberty Road near Belington, went home to be with the Lord at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014, at her residence. She had been in declining health for quite some time.
She was born April 22, 1948, at Glen Dale, the daughter of the late Edward and Louella Mae Fordyce. On Nov. 30, 2007, at Moundsville, she was united in marriage to Aubrey DuWayne Everson, who survives at their residence.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, John E. and Brian L. Brookover; one brother Larry R. Fordyce; a stepson Ronald D. Everson; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She had formerly lived in Cameron, was an LPN for 26 years, having been employed for 22 years by Reynolds Memorial Hospital of Moundsville and the Barbour County Senior Center for two years. She was a Christian and attended the Silent Grove Church of Philippi.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington from 1-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, with Pastor Bryan Headley bringing a eulogy at 7 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. At the request of the deceased, her remains will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Silent Grove Church 31 England Road Philippi, WV 26416.
