Reva June Richardson Bibey, 75, a resident of Locust Grove, Va., passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 4, 1938, at Glady, a daughter of the late Sylvanus James Richardson and Mabel Doretta Ketterman Richardson.
On Nov. 14, 1955, at Junior, she was married to Kermit Lee Bibey, who preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2012.
Surviving are four sons, James William Bibey of Elkins, David Lee Bibey and Donald Ray Bibey, both of Belington and Timothy Allen Bibey of Locust Grove; and five daughters, Deborah Lynn Haddix of Point Marion, Pa., and Delores June Walton, Brenda Lea Bibey, Victoria Dawn Bibey and Virginia Christine Helton, all of Locust Grove
Also surviving is one sister, Lucille Ellen Tenney of Cassity; 11 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two stepgreat grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Juanita Lea Price and Delores Mae Bohan; one brother, George “Speedy” Adkinson; her mother and father-in-law, Neeson William Bibey and Beaulah Virginia Bibey; and three brothers-in-law, Frank Neal Price, James Tenney and Bernard William Bibey.
Mrs. Bibey was a graduate of the Coalton School, where she received a double promotion. She retired from Marriott Corporation, where she was a manager in housekeeping and taught manager training classes for Courtyard by Marriott.
She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard L. Haddix officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery at Junior.
