Frances A. Greathouse, 70, of Durbin, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Born June 12, 1944, at Bartow, she was a daughter of the late Samuel W. and Ellen Maxine Curry Lantz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Dale Greathouse in December 2002.
She was a member of Calvary Gospel Church in Durbin, homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved crafts and gardening. She also enjoyed caring for Pap “the cat” and “LJ” her dog.
Survivors include three sons, Kevin Greathouse and wife, Sharon, Carl Greathouse and wife, Regina, and Donald Greathouse and wife, Wanda, all of Durbin; five grandchildren, Fallon Greathouse and fiance, Tommy Gray, Jenna Greathouse, Jordan Greathouse and Wesley Lambert, all of Durbin, and Joshua Lambert and fiance, Callie Morrison, of Bartow; one great-grandchild, Canden Lambert of Bartow; two sisters, Patty Greathouse and husband, Bud, of Durbin and Karen Collins and husband, Arthur, of Bartow; two brothers, Woody Lantz and wife, Joan, of Durbin and Leon Lantz and wife, Bev, of Wheeling.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastors Carl Greathouse and Harold Swecker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Lantz Funeral Home.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation.
