Thomas Lynn Harlow, 63, of Buckhannon, died Friday, June 13, 2014, at his home, while under the care of Amedisys Hospice.
He was born Sept. 2, 1950, in Adrian, a son of the late William Boyd and Naomi M. Veith Harlow.
On Sept. 19, 1980, he married Brenda Kay Heatherly, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy Clifton and husband, Les, of Rivesville and Angie Dowling and husband, Bill, of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Nathan, Nicky and Noah Clifton, all of Rivesville and Brendan and Ethan Dowling both of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Courtney Dowling of Buckhannon; one brother, Jim Harlow and wife, Roxanne, of Buckhannon; two sisters, Mary Belle Lantz of Buckhannon and Martha Stotler and husband, Dave Dobson, of Longview, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Karen Harlow of Buckhannon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Sam Harlow; and one sister, Linda Harlow.
Mr. Harlow was a custodian for the Upshur County Board of Education. He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. Tom’s family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and nurse Aaron Elliott.
Friends will be received Sunday, June 15, from 5-9 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at the Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hinkleville. Upshur County Honor Guard will provide military honors at the graveside.
