Corda Kathleen Hoffman, 88, of Buckhannon Road, Volga, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Mansfield Place, Philippi, following an extended
She was born Sept. 25, 1925, at Kasson, a daughter of the late William H. and Virginia Elizabeth (Wilson) Boylen.
On Dec. 12, 1942, she married Elzia Bertman Hoffman, who preceded her in death March 25, 2004.
Surviving are two children, Dianna Nellie Kelley and husband, Johnny, of Volga and David Loren Hoffman and wife, Kathy, of Nestorville Community; and five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Cordelia Wilson and Oletta Hester Fortney; by one brother, James Thomas “Grover” Boylen; and by one great-granddaughter, Megan Moore.
Mrs. Hoffman was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member and the oldest member of Shiloh Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, at Shiloh Church of the Brethren with Pastor Hal Sonafrank and Pastor Garry Clem officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
Friends may call at Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 S. Main St. in Philippi from 4-9 p.m. today and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon when Mrs. Hoffman will be moved to Shiloh Church of the Brethren where friends may call from 1-2 p.m., the funeral hour.
