The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5-8 p.m. today. Today, at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home, a wake service will be recited by the Very Rev. Donald X. Higgs, VF. On Thursday, July 31, Ms. Reyes will be moved to Saint Brendan Catholic Church where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. The Very Rev. Donald X. Higgs, VF will be the Presider, and interment will follow in Saint Brendan Cemetery at Elkins.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 122 S. High St., Morgantown, WV 26501. Sheila Ann Antolini Reyes, 59, a resident of the Crystal Springs Community, Elkins and Sebring, Fla., departed this life Sunday afternoon, July 27, 2014, in Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center at Elkins, surrounded by her family and close friends.

She was born Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1954, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Peter Paul “Pete” and Alice Mae Harris Antolini.

She was married to Robert Scott, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are her loving companion, Dr. Wallace “Wally” Edgell of Elkins; one brother, David Peter Antolini of Coalton; and one sister, Joyce Lynn Hill and husband, Larry, of Fairmont.

Preceding her in death was one nephew, Jeremy Ryan Hill.

She attended Saint Brendan Catholic School, Elkins Junior High School and graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 1971. She attended Fairmont State University and graduated from Davis & Elkins College with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She taught school at Fairmont Catholic Grade School at Fairmont and Third Ward School at Elkins. She also worked as a social worker for Appalachian Community Health Center at Elkins and later in life, as a devoted daughter, cared for her mother until her death on April 10, 2012.

She was a member of Saint Brendan Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes, working in her flower gardens and entertaining family and friends in their homes in Crystal Springs and Sebring, Fla. She will be sadly missed.
