Connie L. Wilkins, 65, of Hackers Creek Road, Jane Lew, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at her home. She was born Sept. 24, 1948, in Pickens, a daughter of the late James W. “Pappy” and Willa Lee Tunning Hull.
Connie is survived by her children, Anita Curtis and fiance, Mike Wells, of Philippi; Hartzel Wilkins and wife, Kim, of Fairmont; and Tom Wilkins and fiancee, Rhonda Brown, of Buckhannon; four grandchildren, Ashley Wilkins, Travis Curtis, Tyler Curtis and Jacob Reed; her partner of 15 years, Jim Bleigh; sister, Nancy Vaughan of Hinkleville; five brothers, Allen Hull and wife, Debbie, of Buckhannon; James Hull and wife, Diane, of French Creek; Chet Hull and wife, Tina, of Buckhannon; and Jerry Hull of Pickens; many half-brothers and half-sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a Presbyterian by faith, was an instructor for Hunters Safety Courses and was a life member and cook for the Stone Coal Lake Fishing Club. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and sightseeing, playing bingo and loved gardening, canning, planting and enjoying her flowers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at the Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon.
Honoring her wishes for cremation, the family will have a private committal service at a later time.
