Diana McQuain

Mrs. Diana Lynn (Balducci) McQuain, 58, of Belington, went home to be with the Lord at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at her residence. She had been in declining health for quite some time.

She was born Aug. 13, 1956 at Elkins, a daughter of the late Franklin V. and Betty Jean (Baisi) Balducci Hutzler.

She was united in marriage, on July 14, 2007, to the late Pastor F.L. “Wink” McQuain, who preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2009.

She is survived by one sister, Cynthia E. Balducci of Belington; five brothers, Stephen Lee Balducci and wife, Judy, and their son, Mathew, and fiancee, Morgan Freeman, Michael Glenn Balducci, Richard Franklin Balducci, Daniel Allen Balducci and wife, Kay, all of Belington and Randal Paul Balducci and wife, Karen, and their daughter, Kenna, of Elkins; and a foster brother, John Keeler and wife, Debbie ,of Culpepper, Va. She also is survived by one stepdaughter, Patricia Ann Wilson and husband the Rev. Gary Wilson of Lebanon, Tenn.; and three stepgrandchildren, Asha McQuain, Abagale and Noah Wilson, all of Lebanon, Tenn; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Also surviving are former sisters-in-law, Patty Romansky of Derry, Pa., and Sheila Sheitlen of Elkins.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Sherrina Lee McQuain.

Diana was a homemaker and a devout Christian. Before her illness, she sang in the gospel group The Overcomers. She belonged to the local breast cancer awareness group and was a cancer survivor herself. She was formerly employed at Memorial General Hospital and Elkins Mountain School from which she retired. Along with her late husband, the Rev. “Wink” McQuain, she was instrumental in forming the Faith Deliverance Ministries in Belington. The family would like to send a special thank you to Hospice Care, Pan Handle Support and CCIL for all their care and support during Diana’s illness.

Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral home in Belington Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 5-9 p.m. and again Thursday from 8 -11 a.m., the funeral hour when final rites will then be conducted with Pastor Steve Wheeler and Philip Lynn Ryder officiating. Interment will follow in Hillyard Cemetery near Weaver.
