Phyllis Anderson, 70, of French Creek, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, in St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She was born Aug. 5, 1944, in Braxton County, a daughter of the late Victor Lunceford and Frances Brown Lunceford, who survives in Braxton County.
She was united in marriage Dec. 20, 1961, to Forrest Anderson, who survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Pamela and husband, Bob Wilson, of French Creek; one granddaughter, Linzy Wilson of French Creek; and two brothers: Jim Lunceford and Bill Lunceford both of
She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Faye Lunceford; and two brothers, Ray and Thomas Lunceford.
Mrs. Anderson was a former owner and operator with her husband, Forrest, of Anderson’s Sports Shop in French Creek from 1977 to 2001. She enjoyed her flower garden and house plants. She was a member of Rock Cave Independent Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel Saturday, Aug. 30, from noon-1 p.m., the funeral hour with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in French Creek Memorial Gardens.
