Ruth Riggleman

Ruth Burnidean Hall Riggleman, 90, a resident of Beverly, departed this life Wednesday evening, Aug. 20, 2014, in Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center at Elkins. She had been in declining health.

She was born Thursday, Aug. 23, 1923, at Diana, Webster County, a daughter of the late Charles Douglas and Sarah Hulda Brooks Hall.

On Oct. 24, 1944, at Naosho, Mo., she was married to George Leonard Riggleman, who preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1988.

Surviving are three sons, Fred Leonard Riggleman and wife, Sharon, and George Michael “Mike” Riggleman and wife, Cecelia, all of Beverly and Richard Lee “Dick” Beckwith of Graham, Wash.; one daughter, Janice Lea Blackburn and husband, J.D., of Beverly; one brother, Charles D. “Sonny” Hall and wife, Doris, of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Arta Elladean “Tudi” Furby and husband, Shirley, of Elkins and Charlotte Louise “Pug” Poling and husband, Russell, of Beverly; six grandchildren, Cindy, Mike, Jeff, Melissa, Amy and J.R.; one stepgrandson, J.D.; 11 great-grandchildren, Autumn, Alex, Logo, Kaitlyn, Bailey, Saige, Katriana, Theo, Sean, Ethan and Ariah; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Lydia, and Jace; and one great-great-granddaughter, Addyson.

Preceding her in death were three sisters, Janis Dana McCourt Cowger, Virginia Lee Mace, and Hazel Irene “Pidge” Cochran.

She attended the Diana Grade School in Webster County, was a homemaker and a member of Beverly United Methodist Church. She had worked at Michael’s Motel and made pies for Sis’s Restaurant.
