Miriam Louise Ray Phillips McCauley

Mrs. Miriam Louise Ray Phillips McCauley, 63, a resident of Parsons Road in Montrose, departed this life Thursday morning, Oct. 20, 2016, at her sister’s home in Belington, following a period of declining health.

She was born Dec. 27, 1953, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Virgil and Luvary Jane Lambert Ray.

On Nov. 5, 2005, she was united in marriage to Dennis McCauley, who survives at their residence.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Lori Lee Phillips of Philippi and Milton Phillips and wife, Lori, of Elkins; two sisters, Joan Millie Pifer and Linda Rogers, both of Belington; six brothers, Lenzie Ray and Jake Ray of Wymer, Jack Ray, Curlie Ray, Milton Ray, all of Elkins and Dale Ray of Glady; seven grandchildren, Trenton Morhard, Garrett Phillips, Ana Phillips, Cole Phillips, Elizabeth Phillips and Lily Phillips; and one granddaughter that the family is expecting in the near future.

Miriam attended the schools of Randolph County. She was previously employed by Kessler Trucking as a tractor trailer driver from which she retired. She attended Mountaintop Christian Assembly and was an ordained minister. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from the Beverly Community Church, 33 Main St., Beverly, WV 26253 Monday, Oct. 24, from 6-9 p.m. and again Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour with Pastor Curlie Ray Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in the Ray Cemetery in Wymer.
