Coleman ‘Cole’ Russell Cain

Coleman ‘Cole’ Russell Cain

Coleman “Cole” Russell Cain, 53, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016.

Cole was born Monday, Sept. 16, 1963, in Bountiful, Utah, a son of Ervin Perry Cain and Rebecca Jean Clingerman Cain, who survive.

On Aug. 23, 2015, in Elkins, he married the former Donna Phillips, who survives in Elkins.

Cole was a loving and devoted husband, son, stepfather and grandfather. Left to cherish his memory are four   stepchildren, Carmen, Paul, Taylor and Travis; three grandchildren, Abby, Jayleigh and Mason; two siblings,  William Cain and Barbara Cain Jenkins; in-laws, Clifford and Ann Phillips, as well as a host of close friends and relatives.

Cole was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Lee Cain and Ervin Dale Cain; and one infant brother, Daniel Lewis Cain.

Cole attended the schools of Randolph County and was a 1982 graduate of Elkins High School. He was a capable contractor and renovator. He was most recently employed by Robb Realty in Pittsburgh, splitting his time between Pittsburgh and Elkins. We will remember Cole as a great man full of life, love and many passions. Whether it was hiking through the woods or on a beach, collecting cranberries at Dolly Sod’s or creating new recipes in the kitchen with his wife, Donna, Cole always approached life with a heart full of passion and fun. He and his wife loved to travel and try new restaurants; they were always on the search for the best ramen in New York City. Cole’s myriad of interests didn’t stop there. He was also a man of multiple talents. His hobbies and skills included gardening, canning, offshore fishing, running (cross country, of course) and his greatest talent by far was woodworking. He was truly a talented craftsman and left many cherished creations among many fortunate recipients. He has left us too soon, but he has left our hearts full of memories of his passion for a life lived fully.

The family’s request for cremation was honored, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Cole’s name to local fire and rescue or swift water rescue.

The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Coleman Russell Cain. Send online condolences to the family at www.therandolphfuneralhome.com.
