Darleen Kay Ware

Darleen Kay Ware, 64, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 29, 2017, at the home of her sister, Judy Primavero of Coalton.

She was born May 21, 1952, at Marlinton, the daughter of the late Junior L. and Mildred Rhea Ware.

She is survived by one brother, Gary Ware and wife, Jane, of Valley Head; and one sister, Judy Primavero of Coalton. Five nieces and nephews, Dee Roth, Tim Thompson, Ross Thompson, Gary Ware and Penny Carpenter; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews, Katy Ross, Sam Ross, Austin Thompson, Cole Thompson, Timothy Thompson, Devin and Logan Carpenter, Paityn  Ware and Tanner Ware, also survive.

Also preceding her in death was one brother-in-law, Michael Primavero.

Darleen was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School and worked at the communication center for the Elkins Detachment of the West Virginia State Police for 39 years prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police of Elkins.

Darleen’s request for donation to the Human Gift Registry at West Virginia University was honored.

Her family will be receiving friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bobbie Rogers officiating.
