Mary Louise Stracola Tallman
Mary Tallman, 82, departed this world for heaven on March 16 in Niceville, Fla., where she lived with her husband of 65 years, Herman Tallman, who she married on September 20, 1952 .
Mary was born Jan. 17, 1935, in Belington. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Stracola Perhavec; brother, Clyde Stracola; and stepfather Ludwig Perhavec.
She is survived by her husband, Herman; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Michael L. and Shawnea Tallman; grandson and his wife, Jonathan and Jennifer Tallman; and great-grandson, Nathan Tallman all of Niceville, Fla.
Mary was an active member of the Crosspoint United Methodist Church in Niceville, where she volunteered at the Bargain Box Ministry, played Pinochle with the seniors and supported missions.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary enjoyed lively discussion on politics, and she had a passion for fashion, people and evangelism, and was a graduate of the Belington High School.
Romans 14:8 “For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.”
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington on Friday March 24, 2017, from noon to 2 p.m. the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Dr. Michael L. Tallman, her son, officiating.
Interment will then follow in the Barbour Memorial Cemetery near Belington.
