Kathy Sue Harlan
Kathy Sue Harlan, 54, a resident of Norton, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born Aug. 29, 1962 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Merle Elwood Sponaugle and the late Nellie Hampiture Sponaugle.
Surviving is her fiancee, Junior Marsh, of Norton; and two sons, Robbie Lee Harlan, of Norton, and Timothy Lee Harlan, of Sistersville. Three daughters, April May Harlan, of Belington, Kristina Marie Harlan, of Buckhannon, and Anna Marie Harlan, of Belington; two brothers, Michael Sponaugle, of Belington, and Donald Nelan; two sisters, Glenda Warner and Connie Likens, both of Belington; eight grandchildren; three special aunts, Ruby, Barb and Boots; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rose and Nicole also survive.
Also preceding her in death were two grandmothers, Addie Nelson and Mae Bennett; brothers, Steve Hampiture, Randy Sponaugle, Billy Sponaugle and Danny “Joe” Sponaugle and; a sister, Carolyn Arbogast.
Kathy attended the schools of Randolph County and was employed at Nella’s Nursing Home prior to her retirement.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 1, from the funeral home chapel. Pastor Eli Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
