Bruce Allen “Bubba” Long, 60, a resident of Coalton, passed away Sunday morning, June 25, 2017, in the Davis Medical Center emergency department.

He was born Aug. 20, 1956, at Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Adam Bruce Long and the late Barbara L. Moats Long.

On March 8, 2000, he was married to Donna Kaye Lanford Long, who survives at Coalton.

Also surviving are one son, Eric Bruce Long and wife, Gabby, of Japan; one daughter, Misty J. Long of Clearwater, Florida; and two stepdaughters, Victoria Klinger and husband, Jim, Boone, North Carolina, and Candice Roach and husband, Martin, of Coalton. Two brothers, Gary Stephen Long and wife, Sue, of Fort Ashby and J.D. Long and wife, Linda, of Philippi; one sister, Debbie Finley and husband, Dave, of New Mexico; three grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren, Sheylah, Mia, Amelia, Mitch, Savannah, Jackie and Ashton; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bruce was employed as a tanker truck driver for Woodford Oil Co. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and was a member of the Property Brothers Hunting Club. He enjoyed spending time with great friends in Coalton; playing guitar and singing. He also enjoyed working in his garage.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel with Deacon Raymond Godwin officiating. Interment will follow in Phillips Cemetery near Jimtown.
