Daniel ‘Dan’ Ray Cutright


Daniel “Dan” Ray Cutright, 46, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at home. He had been in his usual health, and death was unexpected.

Dan was born Sunday, April 11, 1971, in Weston, a son of Pearl Ruth Beer Cutright Gower, who survives in Parkersburg.

Dan was first married to Lisa Steiding of Fairmont and then to Tina Cutright of East Dailey.

Also left to cherish Dan’s memory are two sons, Daniel Ray Cutright II of Mabie and Devin Ray Cutright of East Dailey; and three brothers, Larry Lynn Cutright of Weston, Robert Eugene Cutright of Weston and Christopher Lee Cutright of Weirton.

Dan had been employed at Tygart Valley Regional Jail for the past nine years. After several years of hard work, he moved to the position of captain. He had previously been employed for 10 years at Huttonsville Correctional Center. Dan’s hobbies were hunting, fishing and restoring vehicles with his boys.

A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. At 7:45 p.m. the Tygart Valley Regional Jail’s Color Guard will do a flag presentation. Dan’s request for cremation will then be honored.
