Delmas Harley Wegman
Delmas Harley Wegman, 72, a resident of Dailey, passed from this life Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at home surrounded by family.
Delmas was born Saturday, Oct. 28, 1944, in Valley Bend, a son of the late Roy “Todd” Wegman and Helen Wegman, who survives in Linville, Virginia.
On June 28, 1975, in Elkins, he married the former Doris Nesselrodt, who survives in Dailey.
Also left to cherish his memory are three children, Michael Wegman and wife, Chasity, of McGaheysville, Virginia, Keith Wegman and wife, Debbie, of Dailey and Donald Craig Biller and wife, LeeAnne, of Harrisonburg, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Brycen, Jared, Cody, Cailey, Harper, Ashley and Jennifer; four great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Roy “Sonny” Wegman and wife, Wanda, and Jack Wegman, all of Broadway, Virginia, Carrol Wegman of Dailey, Kenneth Wegman and companion, Sheila Shaffer, of Valley Bend and Wilson Wegman of Linville, Virginia.
Delmas has been employed as a coal miner, truck driver and worked on the pipeline. Most recently, he worked as a mechanic for Grimes Enterprises. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, spending time at the cabin with family, riding his Harley and four wheelers. Delmas enjoyed the craft of woodworking and was always fixing things. Delmas was a down to earth man who never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. His infectious charm and humor will remain with all who loved him.
Services and interment will be private.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Delmas’ name to the Tygart Valley Fire Department or the Mill Creek Rescue Squad. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Delmas Harley Wegman.
