Mrs. Connie Sue Kelly Cosner, 51, a resident of Morgantown Pike, Belington, departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, in the Select Specialty Care Hospital at Latrobe, Pennsylvania, following a period of declining health.

She was born Nov. 30, 1965, at Elkins, a daughter of Robert Cookman “Bob” and Sherry Ellen Dehaven Kelly, who survive in Belington.

On June 13, 2004, she was united in marriage to Keith Olen Cosner, who survives at their residence.

She also is survived by two children, Rebecca Ellen Varner, of Colorado, and Mark Lee Varner and companion, Latisha Mason, of Durbin; one brother, Bobby Kelly and wife, Lisa, of Belington; two sisters, Brenda Croswell and husband, Charlie, of Richmond, Virginia, and Debbie Alexander and husband, Stuart, of Nestorville; nieces and nephews, Justin and Josh Alexander and Parker Kelly of Belington, Celeste Tennent and husband, Stephen, of Grafton, and Bobby and Coryn Kelly, of Belington.

Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Jacob Robert Wolfe, Bella Faye Varner, Kayden Matthew Varner and Leann Faith Varner. Also surviving is her sister’s dog, Molly, who she considered her niece.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Mary Dehaven; and several aunts and uncles.

Connie attended the schools of Barbour County and was formerly employed at the Laurel Mountain Inn in Belington. She attended the Light of Christ Chapel and was part of the praise team at the church. She was an avid shark tooth collector; she loved the beach and to collect seashells; and her love for her family and animals was genuine. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington, on Friday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m., and again on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. Per Connie’s request, cremation will follow.
