Vivian ‘Nancy’ Montgomery
Vivian “Nancy” Montgomery, 87, of Davis, passed away Oct. 20, 2017, at Garrett Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Dry Fork, a daughter of the late James Arthur and Rosie Ellen Lawrence Wilfong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Montgomery, in 1995. Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Patty Montgomery; two brothers, James “Buck” Wilfong and Henry Wilfong; and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by one son, Charles D. McClaskey, Davis; three daughters, Norma Lee Pratt, Mt. Solen, Virginia, Judy Watts, Eglon, and Rose (Matt) Buck, Davis; two brothers; Carl Wilfong, Harman, and Clarence Wilfong, Davis; four sisters, Vivetta Pennington, Baltimore, Maryland, Lena Davis, Davis, Doris Hamrick, Harman, and Margaret Harper, Hendricks; eight grandchildren, Leona Snellings, Roberta Alman, Richard E. Pratt Jr., Yvonne Will, Ashley Watts, Scott Montgomery, Bernadine Buck and James Lowery; 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Montgomery worked for Baltimore Box Co. for over 41 years. She enjoyed watching the TV evangelists, Joyce Meyer and John Hagee. She loved listening to any kind of music, and traveling with her family.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, today, Oct. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ryan Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Pennington Cemetery.
