Ruby Lynn Hodges Burns, 77, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 7, 1940, in Huntington, she was a daughter of the late Merrill Warren and Anna LeBeatrice Sizemore Hodges.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marvel McNeill; and a brother, Marion Hodges.

Ruby was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, Red Hat Society and was a lifelong beautician.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Richard “Dick” Burns; son, Ralph Warren Burns and wife, Terrell, of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Warren Maverick Burns and Madeleine Abselle Burns; sister, Carolyn Stonfer and husband, Ron, of Reisterstown, Maryland; brothers, Keith Hodges and his late wife, Pat, of West Hickory, Pennsylvania, and Glen Hodges and wife, Sue, of Apple Creek; sister-in-law, Sharon Hodges of Steubenville, Ohio; brother-in-law, Blix McNeill of Buckeye; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Andy Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Cemetery on Bruffey’s Creek. Visitation will be held Friday at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye from 6-8 p.m.
