Edward J. Bray

Edward “Ed” James Bray, 67, of Buckhannon, went to his heavenly home Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, in the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 26, 1951, in Manhattan, New York, Ed was the son of the late James and Barbara Trenn Bray.

On July 24, 1987 he married his wife, Maria Canzoneri Bray, who will miss him dearly after 31 years of marriage.

Ed’s legacy of adventurousness will be carried on by his son, C.J. Bray and wife, Heidi, of Elkins; and his beloved golden retriever, Maxx.

Ed was a Christian by faith who never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. As a writer and singer he always had a song in his heart.

Early in his career, he spent over 10 years as a private communications consultant before he decided to make his home in West Virginia. For the last five years, he was a security officer for West Virginia Wesleyan College. His quick wit and talents made him a jack-of-all-trades.

Ed’s wish of cremation has been honored, and there will be a private family memorial held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests that you pay forward all that Ed sowed in your life.

Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral and Cremation is honored and privileged to serve the family of Edward Bray. Online condolences may be expressed at www.tomblyn-clutterfuneral.com.
