William Ora White

William Ora White, 79, of Prospect, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Butler Memorial Hospital after an illness. Bill was born Aug. 7, 1939 in Whitmer and was the son of Ora Max and ReahNell Lambert White.

Bill was a self-employed auto mechanic and was the owner of Prospect Radiator in Prospect. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prospect. Bill enjoyed his family, his work and his lunches at Roxy’s Diner with his friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also was a muscle car enthusiast.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret Ann Ratzer White, whom he married Aug. 15, 1970; two sons, Steve White of Portersville and Scott White of Florida; four daughters, Kimberly White of Florida, Pearl White of Georgia, Tammy Williams of Florida, and Amanda (Kenneth) Boory of Butler; one brother, Harley (Mary) White of Zelienople; two sisters, Ella Link of Freeport and Helen (Wayne) Lincoln of Butler; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jo Bartlett.

There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. from the MT. Zion Baptist Church, in Prospect, with Pastor Ben Oesterling officiating. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2251 Prospect Rd., Prospect, Pennsylvania, 16052, in Bill’s name to help defray his funeral and medical expenses.
