James R. Taylor


James “Jimmy” Robert Taylor, 69, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins. Although he was in declining health, death was unexpected.

Jimmy was born Friday, Feb. 4, 1949. in Elkins, a son of the late Howard Felson Taylor and Josephine Shiflett Taylor. who survives in Beverly.

On Aug. 15, 1970. in Mill Creek, he married the former Nina Wood, who survives at home.

Also left to cherish his memory is one daughter, Pamela Taylor and companion, Mike Price; grandchildren, Kathleen Stallman, James Stallman and companion, Breanna Ford, Cassie Stallman and companion, Cody Maxwell, Brandon White and companion, Cassandra Harris, Stacey Coberly and husband. Justin, Philip Taylor and wife, Amanda, and Shawn Taylor and wife, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Taylor Pingley, Natalie, Carson and Holden Maxwell, Brantlee Stallman, Brycen White, Leann and Matthew Wegman, Justin and Remington Coberly; and siblings, Phil Taylor and wife, Tina, Steve Taylor and wife, Laura, Randy Taylor, Patty Arbogast and husband, David, Betty Wood and Dottie Parrack.

Preceding Jimmy in death besides his father was one daughter, Joyce Taylor; grandsons, Dustin and Matthew White; and siblings, Rhonda, David, Jeff and Charles Taylor.

Jimmy attended the schools of Randolph County and was the owner and operator of Taylor’s Logging. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing and just the outdoors in general. He loved hanging out with his brothers and spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home Thursday from 1-2 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Algie Cook will officiate. The family’s request for cremation will then be honored.
