Clinton E. Hamrick, 82, a resident of East Dailey, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at his home.
He was born Jan. 21, 1937, at East Dailey, a son of the late Troy and Georgie Summerfield Hamrick.
On Dec. 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Nancy Baker Hamrick, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Clinton Hamrick II and wife Tammy of East Dailey and Gregory Hamrick and wife Dee of Bear, Delaware; two daughters, Linda Shiflett and husband Larry of East Dailey and Christine Fincham and husband Dennis of Conowingo, Maryland. Fourteen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
Also preceding him in death was one son, Victor Lynn Hamrick, one sister, Shirley Kay Hamrick and one brother, Joseph Leon Hamrick.
Clinton was a retired heavy equipment operator having worked for Lafarge Cement for over 20 years. He loved hunting, camping and talking on his CB radio and was known as “Coal Duster” by his CB friends. He attended the Valley Bend Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ann Fretwell officiating. Cremation will follow.
