Charlene M. Fenstermacher


Charlene Mae Schoonover Fenstermacher, 66, a former resident of Elkins, and for the past couple of years had made her home with her daughter in Jimtown, passed from this life Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Charlene was born Monday, March 16, 1953, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Ivan Schoonover and Anna Mae Haymond Schoonover.

She was married to Harold Fenstermacher, who preceded her in death.

Left to cherish Charlene’s memory are five children, Stephanie Chenoweth and husband, Jim, Sherri Taylor and husband, Buster, Sandy Shinaberry and fiance, Jeff Pritt, Kelly Vandevender and companion, Mike Taylor, and Josh Fenstermacher and wife, Dana, stepdaughter, Shelly Fenstermacher Hornick and husband Jeff, one sister-in-law, Kathy Schoonover, 14 grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, Mackenna, Zach, Jamie, Destiny, T.J., Devin, Calia, and Sophia, Hunter, Summer, Christian, and Justin, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Charlene in death besides her husband and parents was one brother, Keith Schoonover.

Charlene attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed wildlife, watching the deer, and fishing. She also loved to play bingo. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Charlene’s request for cremation was honored. A gathering of friends will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 13, from 6 until 7 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Roger Foster.
