Juanita L. Taylor

Juanita Lillian Louk Taylor, 75, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at home surrounded by family and under the care of West Virginia Hospice.

Juanita was born Monday, Jan. 17, 1944, in Jamesburg, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Forrest Willard Louk and Roxie Leighann Pudder Louk.

On March 28, 1970, in Middlesex, New Jersey, she married Junior Woodrow Taylor, who preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are three children, Benjamin “Frank” Hite and wife, Sue, of Huttonsville, Jenny Mowery of Elkins and Janie Taylor of Harman; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; eight siblings, Janet White of Virginia, Janice Springfield of Mill Creek, Judy Tolliver of Elkins, Josephine Snyder of Huttonsville, Jacqueline Gear of Mill Creek, John Louk of Virginia, Joseph Louk of Virginia and Jerl Louk of Virginia.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were four siblings, Jennev Butler, Janeva Cogar, Jerry Louk and Jeffrey Louk.

Juanita attended school in New Jersey and was a cook at Scottie’s Restaurant and then as a homemaker at the Randolph County Senior Center for 16 years. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with family. Juanita had a beautiful voice and loved to sing Gospel music.

Visitation will held at the Randolph Funeral Home Friday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Chaplain Jenifer Suehs-Vassel will officiate and interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
