2018 Barbour County Fair is offering family friendly fun

Hello from Barbour County!

School and all of its activities are back in full swing! This is a busy time of year, with homework, sports, practices and after-school activities.

The Barbour County Fair kicks off this weekend. Five young ladies will be competing for the title of Miss Barbour County.

Miss Barbour County 2017, Skylar Ketchum, has had a wonderful reign this past year, and we wish her all the best as she passes the crown to the next recipient. Good luck to all of the contestants!

All next week at the fair, it will be jam-packed with activities, including the grand feature parade, car show, demolition derby, ATV races, music, food, and much more. I hope to see you there!

There will be no school in Barbour County on Aug. 31, and also on Sept. 3 in observance of Labor Day.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Belington Fire Department will be having their annual Fall Bash at the Barbour County Fairgrounds.

Gates open at 10 a.m., and the drawing will start at noon. These prizes are always exceptional!

Come on out and support a great group of men and woman who are always here when we need them.

Contact your favorite local fireman for tickets now, or they can be purchased at the gate.

Looking ahead, there will be a craft show at the Belington Fire Department and also at the town square during the Fall Fest on Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
