Belington Fall Festival set to kick off in Barbour County

Hello from Barbour County where the Belington Fall Festival is taking place this weekend.

Make your way downtown for food, music, crafts, games, a parade and more.

I’ve noticed that the leaves are starting to change. Fall sure is a pretty time of year!

September is National Baby Safety Month. Through the end of the month, Wal-Mart is taking back old car seats to help keep children safe. Take up to two old car seats per person, to Wal-Mart and get a $30 gift card toward the purchase of a new car seat. Thanks to Wal-Mart for caring about the safety of children.

Animal Friends of Barbour County will be having a Fall Bingo at the VFW in Belington on Sept. 27. The doors will open at 6 p.m. For more information, call (202) 316-1093, or (304) 203-1885.

The Annual Barbour County Fair board meeting will be held on Oct. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Quonset Hut at the fair grounds.

During this meeting, they will be electing board members. It is open to all Barbour County residents who have ideas and are interested in volunteering. Come on out and get involved.

If you have any Barbour County news that you would like to see in The Inter-Mountain, give me a call at (304) 614-7782. You can also send me an email to sharris@theintermountain.com. I love hearing from you!

Until next time: “Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.”
