Humane Society event deemed a huge success
On behalf of the Randolph County Humane Society, I would like to thank the loyal RCHS supporters and dinner patrons who attended our second annual “Spay-ghetti” dinner fundraiser held at the American Legion on March 2, contributing to our success.
Attendance increased this year, along with our profits. Revenues raised from the 2013 Spay-ghetti fundraiser totaled $2,265.79.
All proceeds from the event were deposited in our spay/neuter fund, which is established to ensure that every animal entering RCHS will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
Special thanks goes to the American Legion, the sponsor and host of the event, and to Mike Cardinal, commander of the American Legion, who is great to work with as well as a lot of fun. He and his fellow Legionnaire volunteers were terrific.
Also, big thanks goes to the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. They are a great group of women, who knew what they were doing and gave us the courage to think that we did, too!
Many thanks go to the numerous businesses and individuals who donated gift certificates, coupons, merchandise and made cash donations, contributing to a wonderful variety of raffle items and prizes and allowing us to maximize our profits.
Our raffle winners walked away with a lot of loot!
Donors included BodyWorks, Marilyn Smith, Tammy Copeman, Molly Propst, Sewing for the Seasons, Molly Bush, Chiodo Kennels, T.R. Ross, Joey’s Bike Shop, Dr. Jenna Gongola, Fancy Paws, Trickett Hardware, Hiawatha’s, Mary’s Greenhouse, HopScotch, Mildred Longtain, Mainline Books, Lisa Armstrong, All Creatures Great and Small, La Fontaine Bakery, MeeMee’z, Days Inn Suites, C.J.Maggies, Dairy Queen, Wendy’s, Bob Evans, Scotties, Ginos, Dominos, Papa Johns, Walgreens, Burger King, Walmart, Kmart, Kroger, Big Lots and Shop ‘n Save.
