EHS football set to celebrate 100 years

This fall Elkins High School will be celebrating the fact that we have played football for 100 years. With this in mind we would like to invite former Elkins High School football players to join us in the celebration. We have chosen three home football games to recognize our football alumni.

On Friday, Sept. 19, we would like for any former football player that was a senior during the 1915 through 1969 football teams to celebrate with us. We would like for you to be at the gate beside the home bleachers no later than 7:10 p.m. so that we can recognize your team in front of our home crowd before our home opener with Preston High School

Then on Thursday, Oct. 2, before our game with Bridgeport High School, we will recognize those men that were seniors on the 1970 through 1996 football teams. Again we would like for you to be at the gate beside the home bleachers no later than 7:10 p.m. so that we can introduce your team to our home crowd.

Finally, on Friday, Oct. 24, we will recognize those former football players that were seniors during the 1997 through 2013 football seasons. We want all players from those classes that attend to be at Wimer Field at the gate beside the home bleachers no later than 7:10 p.m. We will then introduce your team to the football fans before our game with Lewis County High School.

We are very excited about the upcoming football season and we want to celebrate our 100th anniversary with you and the Tiger community. Please mark these dates on your calendar.
