Learning to get along

Do we not live in the United States of America? Where everyone is allowed to have an opinion, and on election day these people gather to cast their vote, and the person with the most votes is elected, or I should say most Electoral votes.

I have seen people beaten, or have their property vandalized, all because of a hat that reminds the other side that they lost. This is not the way an American acts.

If you don’t believe in our electoral system perhaps you should immigrate to Russia or Saudi Arabia, where your style of governing is in vogue. Quit complaining and work towards getting your candidate elected next time.

If I were 18 and looking for a party to join, after researching what’s available I might have to come up with a new one, and that’s what makes this country great, we have that option. But at the end of the day I am not going to hate you because you don’t agree with me.

My daughter and I have “discussions” every night. She is a liberal and I am a Republican (notice I didn’t capitalize the “L” in liberal), but we still get along at the end of the day. Remember what it means to be American!
