Candidate for governor to visit

“WV Can’t Wait!” is the theme 2020 gubernatorial candidate Stephen Smith has chosen for his campaign, and we agree, we can’t wait!

Stephen believes he can bring real positive change to West Virginia by focusing on what we have in common and working with and fighting for those who feel marginalized and forgotten.

Smith is running a grassroots campaign which will not be influenced by large corporate interests.

He is traveling to all 55 counties in West Virginia to learn about the particular issues, both positive and negative, impacting the people of that area.

While heading a non-profit Smith fought for the average working person and helped pass more than two dozen pieces of legislation directly benefitting families and more specifically children.

He is particularly effective at working across the aisle, something rare in our present day political atmosphere.

On Thursday, March 14, Smith will be touring Randolph County and speaking with citizens from all walks of life.

That evening he’ll be holding a town hall meeting from 6 – 8 p.m. at Woodford Memorial United Methodist Church in Elkins.

We invite you to join us for a community potluck meal from 5 – 6 p.m. with the town hall to follow.

Everyone is welcome! We hope you’ll make plans to attend!
