United Way hoagie fundraiser a success

Thanks to the “Saint Patrick’s Spaghetti Cookers” the United Way of Randolph County has added $7,600 towards their campaign goal with their annual meatball hoagie sale.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Jim and Pat Rossi for the behind the scenes coordination for our successful event and to all the volunteers who worked and helped prepare hundreds of hoagies: Don Ricottilli, Carol Silvester, Madeline Travise, Jim Rossi, Pat Rossi, Donna Long, and Trudy Carowick.

The generosity and support of our sponsors are greatly appreciated and include Huntington Bank, Davis Trust Bank, Mountain Valley Bank, Citizens Bank of West Virginia, Kroger, A&M Logistics, Mountaineer Insurance Services and Allegheny Insurance Services.

Our hoagie sale would not have been possible without the facility provisions of the First United Methodist Church and the assistance of staff members Rhonda and Angie.

United Way is the community’s largest philanthropic partner and works to address the toughest challenges in Randolph County through our 21 partner agencies. Unfortunately, we remain $10,000 shy of our $130,000 goal to fund these community partners that help your friends, neighbors and families in need.

If you would like to join us in making a gift to this year’s campaign, please contribute by mailing a check to: United Way of Randolph County, PO Box 1085, Elkins, WV 26241.

Together, we can make a difference in the communities in which we live and work.

To all of our generous contributors, sponsors and volunteers who have supported us during this campaign — thank you for choosing to Live United!

Karrah Washington,

Executive Director,
