Meeting Maid Silvia and the Maids of Honor

On Sunday I went to Graceland Inn on the campus of Davis & Elkins College and helped welcome Maid Silvia the LXVI, Emily McKibbon Emerson, and her family from Martinsburg, and welcome the maids of honor, Megan Nida and Emily Thompson., They gave a welcome speech and so did Director General Mike Karlan. and Lydia Wagner introduced the Royal Court.

I, "Mr. Forest Festival," presented Maid Silvia Emily Everson a necklace as a welcoming gift to her from myself and from the Forest Festival.

We had more than 200 people there at Graceland with family members and a lot of guests. I took pictures of the event. The theme for the 76th festival is "Magic In The Mountains."

As "Mr. Forest Festival" I will be at the opening and closing ceremonies, I will present a gift to Maid Silvia at Davis Trust Company, and I will be performing a rap song for the royal court at the talent show. I will be at the coronation and the grand feature parade.

So, come on down to the 76th Mountain State Forest Festival in Elkins Sept. 29 to Oct. 7. You will take back great memories when you go home and tell everyone about this year's festival.
