Smith threw the ball away which caused an intentional grounding penalty in the end zone. That means another safety for the Orange making the score 35 to 14 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

In the 4th quarter, Terrance Garvin should have had an interception, but he dropped the ball. Orange tacked on another field goal to make the score 38 to 14. It has been a bad day for the Mountaineers. Syracuse ate up the clock on offense andDarwin Cook was injured in the game.

While on this trip, the Mountaineers went to the NYSE, a broadway show and had dinner in one of the fine restaurants in NYC. They visited Ground Zero where the World Trade Center once stood.
